Our Weekend

We had a a wonderful weekend! It started out with heading to Burley Friday night to watch Abbie Jo in action at her homecoming game! She is such a great cheerleader! It was cold and windy and it rained off and on. Regie and I snuck to the car once. She danced the whole time we were in there! After Abbie performed at half time Gary, my mom, Jaycee, Regie, and I headed to the Chadwick to wait it out until the game was over. Jennifer, Ori and my dad weren't far behind, the weather was just too cold! It was a fun evening just visiting with my family!

Here is a picture of the three of us at the game. As you can see it was raining and windy.....but still fun!

On Saturday the three of us headed over to Jen and Troy's house to play fugitive with all of their friends. It was fun! But man oh man I am out of shape!!! How you play this game is that there are cops in cars and the rest are on foot running from point A to point B without being caught by the cops. I will tell you this, I did not run the whole way! I was one of the first caught. But it was really fun!

Today (Sunday) we are just relaxing at home. I am working on laundry and my scrapbook room. Once I get it organized I will put a picture up! I love to scrapbook! I am currently working on a quite book for Regie. It will have pictures of all of her family members in it so we can go through it with her. I need to print out more pictures so that I can continue to work on it!

Well that was our weekend in a nut shell!

Smart Girl!

It is so fun to watch Regie learn. Yes, I meant to say learn. You can see her pick something up and she tries to figure it out! She is getting so smart and that scares me. The things she is figuring out amazes me. Here is an example: I laid her down to take a nap. Through the monitors I heared her scratching at the monitor. Which took me off guard because the monitor is outside the crib on a box. I peek into her room to see her on her belly with the side cushion pushed down and her arms through the crib holding and playing with the monitor. I laughed and called Gary because I knew that he would get a kick out of it. Well after a few minutes I had to call Gary back to let him here to the monitor now. She was snoring. So I went into her room and this is what I saw:

The little stinker somehow got the monitor into her crib with her and than fell asleep holding it. She is too funny!

I snapped a picture yesterday while Gary was reading to Regie. Like I said yesterday, she loves books. She looks at them while you read and just soaks it all up!

I love those two!

What a sweetie!

I was sitting on the couch working on some school work, when I noticed that Regie girl all of a sudden stopped playing with her toys! I thought at first that she was maybe putting something in her mouth, but this is what I saw when I looked up:

And when I got closer I saw this:

What a sweet baby girl we have. Those toys must have worn her out!!

Just a side note, she loves books right now! She thinks they are just the neatest things ever! I hope that she continues to love them as she grows!!

Fettuccini Alfredo Recipe

Here is our recipe for Fettuccini Alfredo. Very inexpensive and good! Here is what you will need (Recipe feeds 4):

1 Cube of Butter
1 Pint of Heavy Cream
1 7 oz. Container of Parmesean Cheese (will only be using half)
1 Package of Fetuccini Noodles

Optional Additions:
1 Clove of Garlic
Sliced Mushrooms
Atricoke Hearts Quartered
Zucchini Thinly Sliced (Not in picture becuase we just tried this the last time we cooked it. It was very good.)

You start by cooking the noodles as per box instructions, which takes about 12 - 16 minutes. If you are going to add mushrooms, zucchini, or artichoke hearts start sautéing in seperate pan now. When the noodles have 8 minutes left start melting one cube of butter in a third pan with one clove of garlic chopped up. (The garlic is optional, but Gary and I really like what it adds.)

Once the butter has melted completely add whole pint of heavy cream. Bring to boil and than let simmer for five munutes. Stirring continuously. (Heavy cream can burn fast!!) Reduce heat and add half of the parmesean cheese.

Drain noodles and add them to the sauce. At this time if you have any veggies add now. Mix it all up and you are done!!!

It is wonderful. Cook some garlic cresent rolls or garlic bread while cooking pasta. Eat and enjoy!!!

Labor Day Weekend!

What a fun weekend! We went to Firth this weekend to start on Jake and Toni's wedding present! (A fire pit for the back yard!) The men got the hole dug, but that was all that could be done until the gravel was delivered! So the weekend was filled with other activities! On Saturday Gary and Brandon headed off to go watch a BYU game, while Julie, Erin and I took the two girls to the zoo! It was alot of fun! It got hot towards the end, but was still enjoyable! The girls had fun, I think! Here are some pictures of that adventure!

On Sunday while Gary was taking a nap Julie and I took alot of pictures of Regie. I have so many favorites that I have to share them all!!!

That afternoon Gary and I made some Fettuccini Alfredo for all of us to eat! It turned out great! I am going to put the recipe on here soon!

David showed up a little later and Regie was so excited to see him. I think he was excited to see her as well!

The rest of the weekend was filled with family, laughter, and fun! Plus Regie learned how to Patty Cake! Her daddy taught her! It is so cute!!! I caught it in action. Here are some pictures!
